First picture:
The photo looks like it has been taken at the country side at mid-afternoon
Its an image of a women hanging clothes on an electric line
In the scene she is leaning her ladder on the power lines
In the picture we can see sheep in the foreground empty field in the back round clothes on the electric lines, she is wearing yellow protective gloves, and clear skies
The girl looks very calm in the situation that she is it even thought its very dangerous
Our attention is drawn to the spot where the ladder and the power lines meet
The photo is very light, a reliving feeling
The photo makes us feel like nothing can go wrong
The picture makes us think about what is something to fear and what is not that scary after all
It looks like a different point of view from someone else
The photographer mainly uses bright colors clear blue skies .and a nice country side feeling
The photographer uses the clear blue sky to express the calmness of the situation
He probably wants to criticize what one person sees as safe
It appears to me that danger is not danger if we don't see it as such

Second picture:
It looks like it has been taken on a lake , modern time
It's an image of a lake that has shattered glass at the end with dead fish, and a guy who has been rowing and stopped to look at what has happened.
The image is about a guy who has ended his row boat and sees that at the end of the lake there is shattered glass, and dead fish, and he is questioning what had happened.
In the picture you can see dead fish, a confused man, shattered glass, and a lake in the background
The man looks like he is confused
The viewers attention goes directly from the man to the shattered glass
The picture looks vivid, disturbing, and dark which it could mean that there are several problems in his world
The photo makes us feel disturbed and concerned
The picture makes us think what is real and what is not, if something is really perfect is it really perfect underneath and that can go for people
It looks like the perfect lake is covering secrets, and dead fish
The photographer mainly uses light colors to restore the layers
The photographer uses little problems to express the big problems that are happening in the world
He wants to criticize how people express themselves
It appears to me that one day you have a perfect day then the next the whole world knows what your life is really like.

What is photography? TED talks

Questions

1) Q. What question does Erik pose to the audience?  Is this a photograph?

2) Q. What was Erik’s first real passion?  Drawing

3) Q. What conception of photography did Erik previously hold?  Be at the right place at the right time and press the trigger and be done with it.

4) Q. How did this inspire him?  To give more purpose to photography

5) Q. What “common goal” do Erik’s photos have?  Make people think it was created to obscure reality

6) Q. Define realism as used in this context.  Capture it as an idea

7) Q. What principles does he adhere to when creating an image?  To take puzzle pieces and create a different reality , make it look seamless

8) Q. Why is it easier to create a place rather than to find a place?    It's easier to take a place because it's easier to control the light of the picture in the position it's in, you don't need to compromise for imagination

9) Q. How does he plan the photos?   He drew the pictures and tried to find out what destination to find

10) Q. What is his conclusion? The only thing that limits us is our imagination
